The newly released Governance and Trust Barometer (GTB) Report by Africa Policy Lens provides a citizen-centred assessment of governance quality, institutional trust, corruption perceptions, accountability, civic participation, electoral confidence, and government responsiveness in Ghana. The report highlights a governance system that remains structurally stable but perceptually fragile, with strong electoral confidence coexisting alongside deep concerns about corruption, weak government communication, and limited civic engagement. Using nationwide survey data across multiple governance indicators, the report offers detailed regional insights and policy recommendations aimed at strengthening accountability, public trust, and democratic participation in Ghana.
