EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Africa Policy Lens (APL) conducted a nationwide census-based poll to assess the preferences of constituency and regional executives with the mandate to vote in the New Patriotic Party's national executive elections. The exercise, which took place from July 13 to August 21, 2026, sought to reach the full eligible population rather than draw a probability sample. At the end of the polls, a total of 976 respondents consented to participate in the study, representing approximately 20% of the total population. The analytical dataset therefore contains 976 interview records.
The results show markedly different levels of consolidation across the nine national executive contests. Dennis Miracles Aboagye holds the strongest headline position, attracting 76.5% of all respondents in the National Communication Director race and 98.5% of respondents who named a candidate. Justin Kodua Frimpong (JFK) leads the General Secretary contest with 61.4% of all respondents and 84.1% of decided respondents, while Glover Daniel Nii Kwartei leads the National Organizer contest with 49.1% overall and 74.4% among decided respondents.
